My St Lukes reporting took to the skies in 2017 with my acknowledgement of F-111 (111 years since the laying of the St Lukes Mayland's Anglican Church foundation stone). Probably for the first time since the laying of that stone St Lukes has not opened for Easter services. Well, no matter, Easter Bible study was already underway so some of us at least had plenty to go on with. "The Beauty of the Cross: Reflections For Lent" took inspiration from Isaiah 52 & 53.
The time now is Mayday (the day after May Day that I publish this page which has an appropriate insidious undertone) for I recall from our services last year in these post-Easter times we are encouraged to take up our own cross.
At St Luke's Maylands our notice boards abound with the issues that we care most ranging from care of creation; environmental issues to reconciliation with indigenous communities. Refugees are another issue we care about and all of these subjects have been given time in the form of updates during notices and speakers have visited during Sunday service. Our hall is used by Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous several times a week in times before the covid19 scare. The subject I have introduced the struggle for 9/11 Truth. Internationally the 9/11 Truth Action Project is responsible for stalls which promote greater transparency into what took place on September 11 2001. With the original flyer that I posted, I included a link to my 911 Truth themed blog, but that has since been updated.
Here is a link to my blog now;
http://cry911.home.blogThe local chapter is coordinated by David Palmer who lives down Rockingham way. He is yet to have truth stalls due to too few volunteers / interested parties.
The 9/11 Truth Action Project webpageI have an unlikely 9/11 tale which I tell of at my blog. St Lukes in Maylands has a connection with this date too. 9th of September 2001 (actually, i think that was 11 Septemeber; the fact it is known as as 9/11 has been from the very day a matter of confusion to me) was the date of the first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting to be held in the St Lukes hall. Recently they had an 18 years later party which I happened to come to as I clean the hall on a weekly basis. Coincidently, my blog tells of how addictions played a
part in my own 9/11 story; which unfolder in the Perth CBD that fateful evening.
Here is my post I prepared on May Day 2020 on the subject of 9/11 and me.

Last year I had my Go Skateboarding day adventures and made it back to the church hall in the evening for a multicultural dinner night. This year the date shared Sunday Service in the morning. Last year I hurt my knees in a slip; this year I have hurt my back.
